How It Works

From Strava Data To Race Day

01

We analyze your last 90 days

We read your recent Strava runs — mileage, pace, long runs, heart rate — and determine your true fitness baseline. Works for complete beginners through competitive runners. No guesswork, no templates.

02

We build your periodized plan

We generate a full 4-phase plan — Base, Build, Race Specific, and Taper — calibrated to your goal race and experience level. Every workout comes from a system refined by coaching real athletes to national medals. Ready in seconds.

03

Your coach refines it

On Unlock, a real endurance coach who has trained national XC medalists and competed at the national level personally reviews and adjusts your plan within 48 hours before you run a single step.

Built-in reality check

Every plan checks your stated goal against where your fitness and plan length can actually take you by race day. If it doesn't add up, we show you the achievable goal time and pace instead — dialed back if your goal is too aggressive, or faster if you're underselling yourself.

Your Coach

Every Pro Plan.
Human Eyes.

This isn't a template with a coach's name stapled to it. Every session, phase, and progression is drawn from a coach's own methodology — built over years of studying Canova, Daniels, Pfitzinger, Hudson, Magness, Bakken, Coe and many others, then sharpened by coaching athletes to national XC medals and standing on national championship start lines. Your Strava data feeds the system; the same coach personally reviews every plan before you start.

Week 6 of 16 — Build Phase

Your long run this week hits 28km — your highest yet. Keep the first 20km truly easy, no matter how good you feel. The last 8km at marathon pace is where the adaptation happens. Don't chase the pace early.

The Three Questions Everyone Asks.

Do I need Strava to use PaceForge?

Yes — your plan is built entirely from your Strava activity history, so a connected Strava account is required to generate one. If you track your training somewhere else, let us know through support; it helps us decide which platform to support next.

What if my goal time isn't realistic?

We check it for you. Your plan estimates your current fitness from your Strava history (or your PRs, if Strava data isn't enough) and projects where that fitness realistically lands by race day given your plan's length. If your stated goal implies faster gains than that build can support, we show you an achievable goal time and pace instead, along with a note on why — usually pointing to a longer build or a less aggressive target. If your projected fitness is well ahead of your stated goal, we'll tell you that too — you might be able to aim faster than you think.

Can I get a refund on Unlock?

Yes, in full, as long as your coach hasn't started reviewing your plan yet. Once review has begun, the purchase is non-refundable since coaching time has already been committed.
